About me

Alain Rouschmeyer is a French figurative painter and draughtsman based near Lake Annecy in the French Alps.
Trained in Fine Arts, Decorative Arts and Architecture, he developed a visual language rooted in drawing,
observation and the human figure. His paintings and works on paper focus on gestures, postures and fragments of everyday life, exploring intimacy, relationships and the subtle connections between people.
Drawing remains at the heart of his practice. From quick observational sketches to large-scale paintings, his work often begins with an attitude, a movement or an ordinary moment that catches his attention.
His work has received several distinctions, including the 2025 Gold Medal from Mondial Art Academia, and is held in private collections in France and internationally.
