About me

I am a contemporary landscape painter based in Liverpool. Starting from an arts background, I have worked professionally for 30 years as a designer, architectural masterplanner and conservation adviser - leading the creation of award-winning sustainable communities and healthy neighbourhoods.

I began painting in 2024 and now split my time between design and painting. My paintings capture my love of architecture, my love of art, my sense of history and my sense of place.
My work continues the tradition of British romantic painting with art that is theatrical and emotional, rather than just representational - through vibrant colour, textures, and dramatic light effects. I combine my architectural knowledge with a wide range of techniques including printmaking, stencilling, and collage, alongside traditional painting and architectural drawing.
