BARTOLOMEO KOCZENASZ
Date of birth: 1988
Visual artist, graduate of philosophy at the Jagiellonian University, and co-founder of the Centre for Contemporary Art Wiewiórka in Kraków. Between 2016 and 2018, he ran the Art House in Kraków. Since 2010, he has co-organized exhibitions, residency programs, and socio-artistic events, including the Wodna Masa Krytyczna (Water Critical Mass) and Domek na Jesionie (House on the Ash Tree, Wrocław ECoC).
In 2018, he floated a sculpture titled Moon – A Gift from the People of Kraków to the People of Pomerania down the Vistula River from Kraków to Gdańsk. During the first lockdown, he organized a series of 13 solo exhibitions of his fellow artists from Skład Solny, displayed in its window.
He creates collages and photographic installations, as well as large-scale works on buildings, including the mural Barcelona in Kraków (ArtBoom Festival) and a series of collages depicting various places, such as Prague’s Žižkov district, Kraków’s Szpitalna Street, and the Market Square in Jarosław.
