Based in Scotland Bea Last's creative practice is process based, in order to drive her practice forward.
Using Repurposed Recycled Salvaged or Gifted materials to create 'sculptural drawing installations' in response to current global issues such as conflict, mass human migration, generational trauma and humanitarianism.
In recent years Bea has been selected for the LAGUNA ARTE PRIZE-VENICE FINALIST 2024, VAA - ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2024 , AESTHETICA ART PRIZE FINALIST 2023 D&G LIFE ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2024 and recently awarded EXPAND HORIZONS funding from DGUnlimited (Dumfries Chamber of the Arts) as acknowledgement of her commitment and outstanding application to the Arts. - with thanks to Creative Scotland.
As part of her creative practice Bea is also a Mentor and Educator, currently facilitating VAS (Visual Arts Studio) portfolio preparation course for 16-25 year olds wishing to apply to art school. Bea is also a creative practice supporting those on the autism disorder spectrum.
