Painting and Works on paper exploring memory, ritual and grief through intuitive painting.
Celia Kinchington is a London-based visual artist working across painting, text, ritual practice and emerging technologies. She studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at Central Saint Martins (2000–2003). Her work has been exhibited at Deptford X (2018) and in an exhibition curated by Tracey Emin at Trolley Gallery, ‘Group Show, Group Sex’ (2005), alongside further shows in London project spaces.
Her practice explores thresholds, landscape, memory and emotional transformation through instinctive, layered painting processes. Recent work incorporates grief ritual, dream journalling, tarot archetypes and reflective collaboration with AI models as part of an evolving interdisciplinary methodology.
Celia’s current research focuses on grief as a catalyst for creative innovation, exploring multisensory approaches including sound, somatic ritual and algorithmic text. She works regularly with community-based and reflective creative practices.
