My pictorial language is born from walking in nature and from transforming rhythm, breath, and silence into abstract and meditative landscapes.
I’m an abstract painter from Florence, Italy.
I’m 63 years old and my life is divided into a family, a graphic design and art studio, and walking in nature.
Walking is the starting point of my work.
I create abstract and meditative landscapes generated by this experience, which is not only physical, but also mental and intimate.
The rhythm and sound of footsteps.
Breath synchronizing with the body.
The silence that emerges while crossing paths, woods, coastlines, and open spaces.
Through trekking and walking, one enters a different dimension that awakens attention and sharpens the perception of what surrounds you.
Painting emerges as a natural extension of this experience.
I do not represent real places, but rather the intimate, sonic, and visual sensations generated by walking in nature.
Memories, emotions, colors, and often imagined sounds surface—elements I translate onto the canvas imperfectly, because memory itself is never perfect.
I call this process Paintfulness Art: a pictorial, material, and gestural approach conceptually inspired by Mindfulness and the idea of the “Here and Now".
The painted surface thus becomes a tangible and temporal space, where layers of color and texture reflect memory, presence, and anticipation.
Through Paintfulness, the act of walking transforms into a creative gesture—one that invites viewers to slow down and inhabit their spaces with the same emotions experienced in nature.
