About me

I paint emotional colors with a trowel-size palette knife, then draw through impasto strokes with gritty willow charcoal.

With my Splash Scribble Flourish method, I regulate the nervous system, create sanctuary, and restore creative healing energy through the heart.

I embody the landscape as I paint. My studio by the pond is located in Virginia, at the vortex of the largest estuary in North America and the Atlantic Ocean. For five decades, I paint the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, from Appalachian highlands to my woodland pond where the aquifer within the land becomes brackish. This confluence of fresh and salt water mirrors our harmony with earth's healing nature.
