About me

Esmu Evija Freidenfelde, māksliniece no Rīgas. Strādāju ar glezniecību, zīmējumu, grafiku un jauktām tehnikām. Mani interesē atmiņa un pēdas, ko cilvēks, vide, laiks un materiāli atstāj cits citā.

Manos darbos parādās pilsētu fragmenti, ainavas, miglaini lauki un gandrīz pazīstamas vietas. Varbūt tās jau kaut kur esi redzējis. Varbūt tā darbojas atmiņa.

Grafīts, ogle un pigmenti man nav tikai instrumenti. Ļauju materiāliem sadarboties, mainīties un radīt neplānoto. No šīs sadarbības veidojas Atmiņu lauks (Memory Field).

Šeit vari iepazīt manus darbus un sekot jaunumiem. Ja kāds darbs Tevi uzrunā, sazinies ar mani.

I’m Evija Freidenfelde, an artist based in Riga. I work with painting, drawing, printmaking and mixed media, exploring memory and the traces that people, environments, time and materials leave upon one another.

Fragments of cities, landscapes, misty fields and almost-familiar places appear in my work. Perhaps you have seen them before. Or perhaps that is how memory works.

Graphite, charcoal and pigments are more than tools. I allow materials to interact, change and create the unexpected. From this collaboration emerges the Memory Field.
