My vibe
Where cricket bats get a second innings — through paint, stories and a little bit of cricket obsession
About me
Freya Ryder is a contemporary artist whose work brings together her two passions: cricket and art. She creates distinctive cricket artwork, including original paintings on old cricket bats, transforming pieces of cricketing history into unique works of art.
Inspired by the drama, atmosphere and emotion of the game, Freya’s work captures everything from pivotal moments on the field to portraits of iconic players. Her artwork has been exhibited at cricket venues, art galleries and events, as well as used to support charitable fundraising.
In 2019, one of Freya’s paintings also featured as part of Sky Sports’ Ashes coverage,.
Freya is also the unofficial official artist of The Tailenders podcast, creating artwork inspired by the podcast, its live shows and the wider world of cricket.
For Freya, cricket is more than a sport — it is a source of history, memories, emotion and inspiration, with each painting celebrating the moments and people that make the game special.
