About me

I make work rooted in close attention to the natural world and a lifelong sense of belonging within it. I grew up surrounded by wilderness in Alaska, and that early experience shaped how I see. Nature was not a subject I visited. It was where I learned how to look, how to be still, and how to notice what others often pass by.

My work consistently explores beauty that is quiet, fragile, and easily overlooked. I am drawn to subtle textures, layered colours, and moments of contrast where order and wildness meet. I pay particular attention to patterns that repeat across scales. Forms that feel intuitive, balanced, and quietly intentional. These elements are not added for decoration. They are already present in the world, waiting to be seen.

The process begins with observation. I spend time looking until something reveals itself. From there, the work unfolds in a digital space that allows me to refine, distil, and clarify what first caught my eye. The goal is not to replicate nature, but to honour its structure, elegance, and emotional resonance.

I want viewers to experience a sense of calm and wonder. A pause. A feeling of deep peace that carries with it respect for the world we inhabit. If the work succeeds, it invites people to slow down, notice more carefully, and reconnect with the quiet beauty that surrounds them every day.
