About me

My name is Jelena Mardere. I am originally from Vilnius, Lithuania, and currently based in Riga, Latvia.

I am the founder of Mardere Design, a Baltic sculptural design brand.

I am an artist and designer creating sculptural interior objects from my own eco-friendly handmade material.

Since 2022, I have developed my own unique handmade material inspired by Baltic nature, its textures, and natural rhythms.

This process became the foundation of my brand, where I combine aesthetics, functionality, and tactile expressiveness in each piece.

I have over 20 years of experience in applie arts, beginning with furniture decoration, restoration, and interior projects in Ireland and Lithuania.

For more than six years, I collaborated with Metal & Wood Global, creating and decorating custom furniture pieces for international interior projects, including display projects for Christian Dior.

Today I focus on developing my Baltic-inspired sculptural design brand, Mardere Design.
