About me
Katrīna Biksone (b. 1999) is a painter based in Riga, Latvia. In 2023 she completed her BFA in Painting at the Art Academy of Latvia and obtained her MA in POST there in 2025. Since 2017, she has participated in group exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Belgium, Germany, and New York, and has held three solo exhibitions in Latvia. She has received the SEB Painting Scholarship (2023), the Nordic and Baltic Young Artists Award (NOBA) in Painting (2023), and the Linstow Art Award (2025). Biksone works primarily in painting, combining it with elements of installation and spatial solutions. Her works are included in the collections of the Latvian National Museum of Art, the VV Foundation, as well as private collections in Latvia, Portugal, and Finland.
