Artworks
My vibe
Through my work, I aim to expand the perception of what tapestry can be — both visually and emotionally. I explore uncomfortable subjects, believing they also deserve to be seen and felt.
About me
I am a textile artist based in Latvia. I received my BA in Textile Art from the Art Academy of Latvia in 2024, and since then I’ve been developing my independent art practice. My main focus is tapestry, but I also explore other textile techniques such as felting, tufting, and knitting — blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary expression.
Through my work, I aim to expand the perception of what tapestry can be — both visually and emotionally. My pieces are rich in texture, bold in colour, and layered with stories. I see each tapestry as a form of storytelling: a space where emotions, ideas, dreams, and inspirations from different art forms intertwine.
I create slowly and intentionally, paying close attention to detail and letting the rhythm of making guide me. The process itself is meditative — a way to find peace, process emotions, and transform them into something tangible. My works are brave and loud, challenging traditional textile art and the viewer’s perception of what textile art can be.
