About me

Macchiato Celebratio artis is a curatorial project devoted to the art of Encounter, both artistic and human.
Macchiato’s founding mission is to celebrate the love of art.
Each event organized by Macchiato consists of two key elements: an exhibition of one or more artists aligned with the chosen theme, and a large collective installation called the Muro ondoso (Wavy Wall). The latter is an ideal Caffè, where works of art meet without knowing each other - just like strangers at a bar. The performative energy of the Muro ondoso originated with Alfredo Martorelli’s project UnCaffèMacchiato, in which for years, and still going, he has immortalized the romantic patrons of beloved bars, with his legendary Rolleiflex, capturing that spirit of artistic velleitas and contemplation that defines the human being.
And then, well, lots of partying, music, and situationist joviality.

both fluid and placid,
like that slow hand smoking
crushed,
the cigarette.
