Maria Isserlis (Berlin–Dresden) is a curator, art historian, and senior cultural manager. Since 2022, she serves as Head and curator of International Relations at the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden. She is the curator for RIBBON International and co-curator of Pairs Skating: Boris Mikhailov and Wolfgang Tillmans. Recent projects include Barbara Kruger’s new work Untitled (Another Again): a moving public artwork on the intercity train of Ukrainian Railways. Previously, she was part of the curatorial team at the Albertinum Museum, cocurating exhibitions Kaleidoscope of (Hi)stories. Art in Ukraine (2023) and Change to Come (2024), while also curating a solo exhibition by Alban Muja at the National Gallery of Kosovo. Maria is Deputy Chair of Kulturstiftung Ukraine, a visiting lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts, and a mentor in the BPA program. Her earlier roles include work at the Goethe-Institut and Haus am Waldsee. She was General Coordinator of Manifesta 10 and a curatorial team member of Manifesta 11 (Zurich). In 2016, she became Exhibition Director of Space Force Construction (Venice) and co-curator of AKI AORA (Mexico). She is also co-founder of the curatorial platform A:D:
