My vibe
I am a mixed media artist continuously drawn to nature, memory, fragments, and the fleeting impressions of here and there, then and now, and the uncertainty and curiosity in the space between.
About me
I am a London-born, Leeds-based artist working across various mixed media, including but not limited to: textiles, film, printmaking, photography and writing. My work is often informed by close observation of the natural world, as well as inner feelings of nostalgia, memory and archival imagery. Although my practice spans different mediums, I am consistently drawn to tactile figurative form and personal emotional influences, grounded in an understanding of memory as fragile and reconstructive, shaped by a hazy temporal distance. Fragments recur throughout my work, whether as recognisable but fleeting symbols in a film or as a snippet from an archival document. Through close observation of the natural world, my work considers how living things exist entangled with and parallel to human life, and how these relationships shape our understanding of ourselves and the more-than-human world. Through attentive observation and recreation, I hope to call attention to the finite and fragile nature of time, memory, existence.
