About me

Michelle Ives is an artist, illustrator and printmaker based in Glasgow, Scotland. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes and the ever-changing light of her local environment she is inspired by her everyday experience in both urban and rural settings. In particular she is drawn to the geometry and abstract qualities within landscape and the interplay of colour and shape to create space and form.
She works in various media, from acrylics and oil paint to collage, pastel and printmaking and enjoys working from life as well as creating pieces in the studio .
