About me
Monta Beca is a Latvian artist and MA student at the Art Academy of Latvia. Her practice combines various textile techniques and new material research. Through collaborations with natural environments and experimental materials, she examines the connections between nature, family systems and cyclicality of life. Drawing on traditional textile knowledge while exploring biomaterials and environmental processes, her work reflects on the entanglement of human experience with wider ecological systems.
