About me

MY ART ROOM is an independent international artist residency and creative space in central Riga, Latvia, founded by artist Valeria Popova.

We create space for artists to concentrate on their work while becoming part of an international creative community. Our concept brings focused studio practice into conversation with artistic exchange, education and professional development.

Artists can develop an existing project, explore a new direction or experiment with their practice in a shared studio environment. Alongside residency opportunities, MY ART ROOM offers painting and drawing workshops, life drawing sessions, mentoring, exhibitions and creative events.

We value a personal approach, thoughtful feedback and the exchange of knowledge between people with different backgrounds and experiences. Individual work is an important part of life here, with opportunities to share ideas, discuss work and discover potential collaborators.

Our space also welcomes independent curators, guest educators and creative organisers interested in developing workshops, artist talks, exhibitions and collaborative projects in Riga.

We welcome emerging and established artists, as well as people looking to contribute to a growing artistic community.

Get in touch to explore residency opportunities, studio work or a collaboration with MY ART ROOM. We would love to hear what you are working on.
