My vibe
Primarily an oil painter, I am endlessly inspired by luminous colors, the magic of the everyday, and our ability to find awe within ourselves and in the natural world.
About me
I'm a recent graduate of art school, finding my way through an enduring love of portraiture and nature. I'm captivated by the technical elements of painting first--color, light, paint application, style--and am further driven by mood and energy. I'm drawn to subtle themes of resilience and bittersweetness, imbued with the wordless sensations and feelings that tend to fill in the gaps of our complex emotional experiences. My time spent reflecting on my relationships, consciousness, the past and presence--and a love of the romantic--leads me to create paintings that are technically tight but conceptually fluid. I hope to connect with others through an impulse of feeling, and a shared love of color and light.
