About me

I was born in Riga, Latvia, and I am currently based between Riga and London. I am a 2024 University of Brighton painting graduate and a recipient of Liberty Specialty Markets Art Award 2024. My work has been selected for group exhibitions in the UK and online, and is held in private collections in Latvia, UK and Italy.

In my work, I strive to capture the emotional state of the peculiar human experiences, exploring the capacity of artistic expression to convey their essence, whilst avoiding the literal portrayal. I am interested in embodying glimpses of raw perception of life in a visual form that provokes an instant response and surpasses reason.
