Multiartist
Hi, my name is Rita Pranča and I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Latvia, working across sculpture, ceramics, painting, and olfactory art.
I welcome commissions and collaborations for:
– sculptural objects and installations
– ceramic and mixed-media works for collectors
– site-specific and public art projects
– olfactory and sensory art projects
– exhibitions, curatorial collaborations, and artist-led workshops
My practice explores the relationship between body, memory, material, and sensory experience. I am interested in how clay, scent, surface, and form can carry emotional, cultural, and bodily narratives — especially those connected with femininity, vulnerability, transformation, and the politics of seeing.
I create works that move between the intimate and the monumental: from ceramic objects and figurative sculptures to installations where material, scent, and space become part of one experience. My artistic language often combines sensuality with irony, fragility with strength, and traditional craft with contemporary feminist reflection.
I hold an MFA in Ceramics from the Art Academy of Latvia and am currently completing my MFA in Sculpture. My works have been exhibited in Latvia and internationally, and are held in private collections in Latvia, France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, the United States, Japan, Israel, Estonia, Ukraine, and other countries.
Alongside my individual practice, I lead creative projects, teach sculpture and composition, and work with the women artists’ group ArtPart. I am also the founder of Kazas Laukos, a natural cosmetics and workshop brand rooted in material, scent, and countryside experience.
My art is about presence — the presence of the body, the trace of touch, the memory of place, and the invisible atmosphere that remains after an encounter.
