About me

I’m a Belgian painter exploring the thin line between observation and imagination.
My paintings begin as fragments — traces of memory, perception, or chance — which I deconstruct and reassemble until a new image starts to exist on its own.
I paint what exists only when it is observed.
Architecture (my real background) taught me structure; painting taught me to lose it.
Each work is built in whisper-thin layers of oil and damar resin, searching for a fragile equilibrium between precision and ambiguity.
What drives me is that quiet instant when perception becomes meaning — when an image stops representing and simply is.
