Ever curious, a bit of a rebel... Visual artist based in South East England
What started as a form of art therapy developed into a dedicated practice, a way to transform my experience into one of possibility and hope. I’ve found purpose through my work, it has helped me reconnect with myself and others.
I use painting to explore emotions without judgement and to express movements I’m physically limited in. I am curious by nature and inspired by ancient civilisations, ruins, our connection to the earth and each other.
I have a largely intuitive process, experimenting with tools and materials to see which best lend themselves to expressing my feelings, intentions for a piece often unfold as it progresses. I am particularly interested in combining different mediums to create body or physicality/layering and using instruments that leave a record of their influence.
As part of my DCYP project I have been focusing on scaling up my work and developing ways to combine my abstract and representational work.
