About me

I am a photographer, sculptor, painter, and digital artist. I trained under Jürgen Klauke at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, as well as with Rolf Lieberknecht.

My abstract-figurative, deliberately dilettantish approach consciously plays with the tension between apparent unprofessionalism, playfulness, and time honored artistic forms. In my work, I explore the aesthetics of absence and deliberately lead viewers down false trails through an openness of outcome.

My art reveals a tongue in cheek distrust of logic and evokes a sense of liberating lightness, inviting the viewer to question what seems certain and selfevident.
