This art piece showcases vibrant cities filled with color but with dark shadows lurking underneath that is like a nostalgia for my homeland. Living is far from home, the artwork serves as a reminder of the vibrancy and beauty of my homerown before the full invasion and the new life I try to create in the country I have become refugee in. The colorful buildings and bustling streets evoke memories of a time before the war disrupted daily life. However, the shadows underneath hint at the painful reality that I can no longer experience the beauty firsthand.
