The artist was inspired in the creation of this work, completed on the eve of spring, by the legend of the goddess, perfectly interpreted by Jacob Grimm in 1882: "Ostara, Eástre seems therefore to have been the divinity of the radiant dawn, of upspringing light, a spectacle that brings joy and blessing". Thus associated with spring, the presence of Ostara brings with it rebirth, but also the renewal of hopes. Using the technique of direct sculpture, like Brâncuși, the artist combines Nordic influences with the heritage of Romanian folk art, rendering the spiritual dimension of this sculpture.
