English Country Path in May is a large semi-abstract landscape oil painting of an English country with blossom trees, bluebells and a white deer. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. The painting shows lots of overlapping layers that hint at tree blossom, bluebells and other wildflowers. The path is dappled as the light shines thought the treeline from the left. A small white female deer stands watching to one side. The feeling of the painting is one of exuberance and abundance and was inspired by a walk I took near High Hurstwood in East Sussex in April.
