Borrowing from an atomic age visual vernacular and playing with fragmented and uneasy perception. The works are small on oil painting paper. I'm testing how a pastel colour palette signals candy sweet psychological whitewashing and placing anomalies in the compositions to disrupt and unsettle. Mushrooms return in this way, full of colour and weird form coupled with their association with mind bending perception.
