This sculpture depicts two people (2 torsos), a woman and a man, who are obviously a couple. This is also implied by the uniformity of the material language. They are standing back to back, but not touching. Both are looking spellbound at their smartphones, which they are holding in their hands. Their respective focus on the smartphone cancels out their closeness to each other, their thoughts and feelings are far away from each other, creating a great inner distance. "So close and yet so far away..."
