In this artwork, I was thinking conceptually about the form of the body in terms of the difference of shapes and sizes. The movements, flexibility, and erosion through years of aging. This work also focuses on my expression of color and texture. The piece has an unusual yet vibrant range of colors against black to express the visual contrast of dark and light that represent qualities inside and outside of our bodies. In combination with these colors, the holographic thread is meant to represent the nerve endings that are intertwined inside every living thing.
