The focus of this painting is the topic of menstruation and how it serves as a ticking time clock, reminding women through physical blood, that our time is limited on this planet. Through this female figure I wanted to parody “The Creation of Adam”, exploring the idea of inspiration and how in our heightened emotional state during menstruation, the portal to our emotions and inspiration are more easily reachable.
