While photographing couples exchanging their passions, I didn’t feel discomfort, but I also didn’t feel a complete connection. I wasn’t fully invited into their world of intimacy, even though I knew some of them very well. I was young and had a different perspective on intimacy, hence the title “In you I see myself?” with a question mark because the the question was whether I actually saw myself in those people, or if I had the idea that it was intimacy at that moment. Perhaps it was for them, but for me, it could have been mere voyeurism.
