Philia is made by etching, aquatint and salt printed with chiné-collé on magnani paper. Created whilst on residency at Villa Lena, Maria took inspiration from the natural surroundings on the estate particularly the ants who built nests and hills on the ground. This artwork visualises the link between the Art Foundation and the natural world at Villa Lena.
