With this artwork I continue to explore our intervention in nature. How we alter it, modify it, until it's broken and has no more trace of it's original version and is replaced by the manmade. How we like to study, magnify, explore, cut in pieces in order to examine and lose sight of its beautiful, illusive nature that we often cannot grasp so we alter it to fit our viewpoint. Inspired by the ancient art of Kintsugi, this artwork is meant to represent a broken leaf (again as a reminder of climate problems). However instead of mending it, it is placed against a cold and robotic-looking.
