The Hart of the Green Wood is a big green oil painting of a deer stag in a green pine forest. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. The stag and the pine tree trunks are painted in pink, lilac and caramel shades which contrast with the many shades of green in the painting. The stag himself is either appearing or fading out which is something deer do seem to do when you see them in woodland. They stop and watch you and then suddenly vanish. I love this ethereal, fairy tale quality that they have and I also love the soothing effect of all the green overlapping paint layers. It was inspired by a pine forest in
