Tiger Materializing is a large semi-abstract oil painting of a tiger appearing out of a vibrantly coloured background. It is 48x36x1.5 inches. The background is highly textured (as there is another painting beneath it which did not work) and I decided to see what I could create out of the texture created from that one. It was almost like sculpting and what eventually materialized was a tigress. She is beautiful and lethal and is a powerfully muscled creature though I have deliberately avoided being too precise with her anatomy and fur.
