Kamila Gribanova

I was born in Almaty in 1998. I've loved doing art since I was 4 years old. At the age of 14, when I saw giant glass chandeliers in the subway in Dubai, I was very fascinated by the possibilities of glass that I wanted to create with this material. Later I realised those chandeliers were made by Czech-based glass design and manufacture company Lasvit. In 2015, after graduating from high school and art school in Almaty, I came to the Czech Republic for Czech language course in order to enter the university to specialize in glass. I found myself in a pâte de verre technique, and in 2021 I finally got opportunity to study at Kristiina Uslar’s glass studio at Estonian Academy of Art in Tallinn. In 2023 I completed master's degree at the atelier of glass design under Professor Petr Stanický at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín.
