Kayleigh Efird

Kayleigh Efird is a multidisciplinary artist with a sensitivity towards color and performance. Her work is no stranger to the absurd and otherworldly, being inspired by the lovable cast of the Muppets and baroque painting. Her favorite pastimes include knitting, penny boarding and watching ghost hunting shows with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Beauregard. Kayleigh began her artistic pursuits as a high school student at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She continued her studies at the Maryland Institute College of Art and received her BFA as a fiber artist and illustrator. She will be undertaking her MA at the Warburg Institute in autumn 2023. Her work has been published digitally and in print by Penguin Random House UK, Soft Quarterly, Superfroot Magazine, Ouch! Gazette and Orange Peel Magazine. She has most recently been featured in Royal Blue Gallery's virtual juried exhibition, Reflections in March 2023. Kayleigh continues to make work in Baltimore, Maryland and is a represented illustrator with Astound US Inc.
