Konrad Wiśniewski

A graduate of the Painting Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Wiśniewski was awarded the Professor J. Szajna Prize „for his search for new forms of artistic expression.” In his paintings, Wiśniewski explores the concept of space—both within the canvas and beyond it. He emphasizes the element of suspension, where the mathematics of nature and the intersection of spatial and color awareness create an EVENT that serves as a counterpoint. The artwork’s Here and now becomes a deliberately executed, conscious act, leading to a visual tension that responds like a living entity.
