Louise Valin offers through her photography fragments of other people's lives. With caution and sensitivity, she finds her way into intimate places and stories of fragile and thorny metamorphoses. In fundamental events like birth or death, Louise seeks what lies behind doors and faces. Her camera, at the heart of a web of connections, captures powerful yet delicate images that are direct but devoid of provocation. Born in Nancy (France) in 2000, she quickly turned to the visual arts, enrolling in a graphic design program in Strasbourg (France) in 2018, followed by a bachelor’s degree in photography at ESA Le 75 in Brussels (Belgium). After graduating, she honed her skills during an internship at the photography publishing house Pierre Von Kleist in Lisbon (Portugal), followed by a civic service role at the cultural space dedicated to Image and Environment, Zone i, in Loir-et-Cher (France).
