Rita Castanheira

Rita Castanheira (b.1996, Coimbra) is a Portuguese artist based in between Porto and London. She moved to London in 2018 to pursue a masters degree in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts, where she graduated with a distinction in 2020. Before that she studied Fine Art Multimedia at University of Porto. She is interested in exploring the virtual broadcasting of the body in relation to ideas of fragility, identity and invisibility in the digital age. Her practice moves between different digital mediums, performance and textile.
