Seller best Practice Guidelines

We are there to make our platform’s visitors happy and satisfied. Please adhere to our best practice guidelines to ensure we convert visitors into customers and keep them coming back. Follow these simple rules to deliver a great shopping experience, to represent trust, quality and value.

KEEPING YOUR SELLER ACCOUNT

  • Only upload one-off original artworks to your Follow.art Seller account.
  • All art exhibited for selling must be by living artists.
  • Make sure that all listing details are an accurate reflection of the materials and dimensions of the artworks they feature.
  • Please pay attention on descriptions and tags – don’t be lazy and fill these fields to represent yourself and Your artworks in full manner. Our intelligent searching and filtering engine will help Customers to find, sort and filter their preferable content based on Your uploaded information. 
  • Upload 3-5 photographs for each item that give the best possible feel for the colors and composition of your artwork. All images should provide a view of the artwork free from physical obstructions or digital additions, including watermarks.
  • We expect You upload up-to-date realistic photo image of Artist in Artist profile field, as well best photo images of Your gallery space. 
  • You have the option to list work as ‘available for inspiration’. This function should be used smartly and we do not recommend applying it to more than 40% of your uploaded content as it is a significant barrier to conversion. “Available for inspiration” works will not be selected for promotional activities.
  • Keep your profiles up-to-date with accurate address and contact details. 
  • Please indicate the correct Artwork’s address as shipping costs will be calculated based on this data. 
  • Don’t list artworks which violate the intellectual property of others.
  • Keep your prices on Follow.art consistent.   Ensure that the pricing of artwork on Follow.art  is equal to the price on any other website or point of sale through which the artwork is sold directly or indirectly by you. 

If you sell an artwork listed on Follow.art  via another channel, update your stock to reflect this as soon as possible. We ask that you regularly review your inventory to avoid Artwork non-availability happening. Please note we will have a right to charge penalty in amount of 200EUR for such accidents if they are fixed at least 2 times during our cooperation. 

PERFORMING COMMUNICATION

  • Follow.art friendly team is handling Customer Service centrally in order to provide a corporately smooth and consistent communication. Anyone can be contacted 24/7 at help@follow.art
  • It is prohibited to contact the client outside of topics dedicated to delivery of goods or answering direct questions regarding artwork details via Follow.art messaging system.  
  • Whenever you communicate with us or Customers, communication is courteous and free from offensive or abusive content.
  • Keep all communications relevant and do not use the Follow.art messaging system for spam or mass promotional activities. Please see our Privacy Policy for details. 
  • Do not attempt to move potential sales offline or to another website.

ORDER FULFILMENT

  • Orders need to be confirmed within 48hours (2 days)  and ready for dispatch in next 96 hours (4 days).  
  •  Please let us know immediately if there is an issue with a particular order - any potential delays or difficulties as soon as you become aware of them, so that we can communicate with the client and manage expectations.
     
  • Respond as quickly as possible to any communication received from customers via the Follow.art messaging system.
  • Ship all artworks via a traceable method of shipment, with duties for international orders prepaid and other guidelines given by Follow.art in Your Seller Dashboard.
    • Ensure that your artworks are packaged sufficiently to withstand potential damage in transit and do not exceed weight and dimension of parcel. Please see our Packaging and Wrapping Guidelines for more information. 
    • Make a photo fixation of artwork prepared for shipment before and after it is packed. Your supplemental detailed photos will enable us to accurately represent Your interests in case of some wrong or damaged delivery and will help to protect you as a Seller.  
  • The Customer may also pick up the Artwork(s) ordered on the Site directly at Your address. Please be kind and check identity of receiving Party before passing the Artwork purchased.
  • We strongly recommend including a Certificate of Authenticity to Your artwork, especially for work that is not signed or for higher value pieces.
  • Please ensure that invoice generated via Follow.art platform includes all taxes or duties that are payable by You as a Seller.  It is Your full responsibility to check it with the relevant authorities if needed.
    • All information declared in any accompanying paperwork should be complete and truthful, including the value and purpose of the shipment.
