Silviya Radeva - Silviyar is a multidisciplinary artist based between London and Sofia. She holds an MA in Graphic Art and Printmaking from the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria and a BA Hons of Fine Art, Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts, Venice, Italy. In her practice, Silviyar is intrigued with combining different mediums and materials. Her body of work consists of two and three-dimensional artworks ranging from prints, paintings and drawings to sculptures and mini-objects. In the past few years, she has been predominantly working on reclaimed wood and is particularly fascinated with old, distressed wooden beams collected from the streets of London. In her work, Silviyar projects a collection of fragments of conscious and subconscious images. Memory, mortality, love and loss are her main subjects. Often the narrative unfolds over a few artworks (series) linked by key elements. She has exhibited in the UK, Italy, Bulgaria, France, and the USA, including exhibitions at the Bulgarian Embassy in London, Talented Art Fair at the Old Truman Brewery and Centre Culturel Bulgare, Paris. Her artworks feature in private collections worldwide.
