I look for lines. I find shapes. Sometimes figures find me between the lines I draw. I like to play with finding shapes and figures in the grain of a wood, in the empty spaces of a wallpaper or in the clouds. Then I try to transfer them into a drawing. In this way, these minimal revelations come to me, disguised or hinted at. I like to think that drawing is the key to opening the invisible door between the real and the imaginary.
