This piece although a painting, is very sculptural and three dimensional due to its thickness. It is made from branches, pine needles, tree roots and when hung changes colour depending upon the light source and time of day. During sunset it can become orange / golden and casts shadows not only upon the work but also upon surrounding walls, floor etc. The idea was to create something which reacts and evolves very well with light.
