The act of smelling itself can be understood as an act of extreme intimacy, a sharing between the outside (the tactile world) and the inside (the sentient body), or even between two interiors – two bodies. Through the use of different scents, such as cologne, vanilla or ash, the viewer is invited to experience a collective memory of childhood and a personal relationship with familiar life experiences, sharing a close relationship with the object, in a confrontation of noses. To smell, but also to be smelled – through sharing a memory with the object, but also allowing it to capture for itself
