This pastel drawing on paper belongs to my ongoing València series, created in response to my home town of València, in Eastern Spain. The València series belongs to an ongoing strand within my practice in which I respond to the natural and manmade environment. The point is not to reproduce what I see, but to reinvent and reimagine it in a very playful and free way, trying to capture something about the atmosphere, the energy and the visual feel of the location.
