The City series started out as small scale experiments with oil paint left over from working on larger pieces, but soon took on a life of its own and is ongoing. The series is inspired by the idea of the city and the urban skyline, and is executed in a very playful, very colourful language, using oil paint mixed with impasto medium and marble dust for added body and texture. These very playful, vibrant and optimistic small scale pieces fit very easily into any life/work space.
