About

What comprises human life structurally? Birth, school, work, love, death. And what are the myriads of experiences crystallized in each of these elements? With this exhibition Anastasiia is set to explore, through various visions and prisms, what the act of human being entails. Specifically, she is curious how the instances, the aspects of human life exist and transform within the individual.

“In the selected works, there is a lot of focus on body, face, gaze. The raw state of the subject is what I was looking for, occasionally intertwined with glimpses of context and point of view. But the individuality, the vulnerability that is often blended with collective experiences, abstract forms and backgrounds – I meant to discern and respect”.

Curator

Anastasiia is an aspiring curator and a student of Communication Science in Amsterdam. In her practice, Anastasiia combines technology with design, evident in her creation of podcast covers and integration of AI in nursing homes. Her interest in the human condition drives her towards art, exploring human thoughts and emotions.
